Gui Pi Wan is a classic formula for heart blood deficiency due to Spleen Qi deficiency. It has a wide variety of applications, and is most often indicated for insomnia due to blood deficiency and deficiency bleeding disorders.
Gui Pi Wan has been indicated in Classical texts for use in the case of Heart and Spleen deficiency, whose presentation may include these several characteristic signs:
1. difficulty in staying focused and easily forgetting what is learned;
2. not falling asleep easily;
3. lack of energy with a pale face;
4. loss of appetite.
This TCM pattern of deficiency is often observed in those who study hard (students), or those who overwork and feel overwhelmed.
Dosage:
8 teapills, 3 times per day
Not for use during pregnancy
