Some practices encourage focus on kindness to self-and others, and some practices can be deeply healing. It is thought that when we meditate on love and kindness, that energetically we are balancing more negative energies elsewhere in the world.
Some benefits of meditation have been studied, while other cases can only be documented. It may be possible that the limits of healing through meditation exist only in the mind.
